Moduss Inc. was retained by Polk County to assist the Natural Resources Division with the evaluation of flooding conditions within the historic Inwood neighborhood located near Winter Haven, Florida. The study involves intensive field data collection as well as a functional evaluation of the drainage infrastructure. The study area experiences flooding on a frequent basis as a result of high intensity, short to medium duration rainfall events.

The project also includes a utility feasibility analysis to encourage commercial enterprise in the economically challenged area. Upon completion of the drainage study and utility feasibility analysis, Moduss will continue with location surveys, engineering design and permitting of recommended improvements.

The project is funded through the Polk County Housing and Neighborhood Development Division’s countywide Community Development Block Program (CBDG) program. Moduss is assisting Polk County with the required project reporting and accounting necessary to meet the requirements of the CBDG program.
